You’re Not Perfect?
Great! Neither are we, and that’s the point.
At NoVA Church, we've ditched the religious jargon and church politics for something better: a place where real people gather to connect and figure out this whole life thing together.
We're families and singles, longtime believers and spiritual explorers: all united by the belief that faith should feel real, not rehearsed.
We're building the kind of church we all wish existed, where your doubts are as welcome as your faith, where you can ask hard questions without judgment, and where community actually means something.
Real community.
Real faith. Real welcome.
The best part of NoVA isn't our building or our programs, it's the people. Our groups and events are designed around one simple idea: helping you find the community you didn't know you needed. Whether you connect over shared interests, exploring faith together, or just a love for good conversation, you'll discover that belonging here happens naturally.
Come curious. Leave connected.
That's how community works at NoVA.
Life Groups
Find your people and grow together. Whether you're looking for deep conversations, meaningful service, or just feeling ready to make some new friends, there's a group waiting for you.
Family Ministries
For every age and every stage. From toddlers to college students, we believe growing up is better when families and friends grow together.
Missions
Whether it's supporting global partners, hosting local retreats, or sponsoring community events, we believe love in action changes everything - starting right here in Northern Virginia.
Events
Something for everyone, always. Whether you're joining us for Sunday morning, a local service project, or a movie in the park, you're exactly where you need to be.
Sunday Worship
That Feels Like Home
Come as you are to worship that's real, messages that matter, and a community that welcomes everyone. Two service times, same welcoming atmosphere.
Service Times: 9:00 & 10:45 AM every Sunday

Coming Up
in Our Community
From community dinners to service projects, there's always something bringing us together.
-
Date: August 3rd & 10th
Each August, we partner with local schools to help students and teachers start the year feeling prepared, supported, and seen.
Our Back-to-School Supply Drive is a simple, hands-on way our church community shows up for our neighborhoods. From backpacks and notebooks to markers and tissues, every donation helps create classrooms where kids can thrive and teachers feel encouraged.
During the drive, we set up donation drop-off spots at both of our Sunday services—making it easy for everyone to participate. Just bring your items with you to church and drop them off in the designated bins.
It’s a small act with a big impact and one more way we get to live out love in our community.
Want to know what to bring? Keep an eye out each August for a supply list and drop-off dates!

Date: September 7th
Join us on September 7th to celebrate the day we officially become Nova Church, and we want you there to celebrate! Launch Day will be a milestone moment where we celebrate our community, share our vision for the future, and welcome everyone into the Nova story. Bring your friends, bring your family, and let's make this beginning unforgettable together. Bring your friends, bring your family, and help us kick off this new chapter.

Date: September 20th
Each fall, we partner with Garfield Elementary to host Screen on the Green—a free, family-friendly outdoor movie night designed to bring our local community together in a simple, joyful way.
Neighbors gather on the school lawn with picnic blankets, lawn chairs, and their favorite dinner treats for an evening under the stars. We provide desserts and classic movie snacks to share, and once the sun sets, the movie begins!
Whether you're new to the area or have lived here for years, Screen on the Green is all about connection—a night to relax, laugh, and make memories together. It’s one small way we get to live out love, one neighborhood at a time.
Want to join in or help out next time? We’d love to hear from you!

Making a difference beyond NoVa. Through partnerships with organizations like Reach Global and Telos, we're learning how faith looks different around the world while contributing to meaningful work in urban ministry, peacemaking, and community development. Come discover how your story fits into God's bigger story for the world.

Date: November 22nd
Each November, we join with Garfield Elementary School to host Friendsgiving—a shared Thanksgiving meal hosted by NoVA Community Church, created to bring people together around the table and across dividing lines.
Friendsgiving is more than a meal. It’s a moment to connect with our neighbors, especially those experiencing food insecurity, in a way that’s warm, welcoming, and deeply human. As we pass plates and share stories, we’re reminded that the table is a sacred place—where everyone belongs, just as the Lord welcomes each of us to His.
This event is only possible through the generous support of volunteers who help prepare food, serve our guests, and create a space of dignity and joy.
Whether you're looking for a way to give back, meet your neighbors, or simply be part of something meaningful—Friendsgiving is for you.
Want to join us next time or help make it happen? Reach out to Jill Coppick to learn more.

Each spring—just before Easter—we host a joyful, family-friendly event at Garfield Elementary that brings our community together to celebrate the season with creativity, connection, and fun.
This event is designed for families of all ages to experience the hope and renewal of Easter in a relaxed and welcoming space. With hands-on activities, sweet treats, and opportunities to gather with neighbors, it’s one of our favorite ways to love where we live.
It’s also an event we build together—with volunteers from our church family helping to create a space where joy, belonging, and the story of Easter come to life.
Whether you’re looking to serve, bring your family, or invite a friend, we’d love for you to be part of it.
Easter reminds us that hope has the final word—and we get to live that out in our community.
Come As You Are. We’ll Save You A Seat.
We're here to walk alongside you, wherever you are in your story. Join us this Sunday, grab coffee with a pastor, or jump into one of our groups. However you're showing up, we've got a seat with your name on it.
