Brent was born in Beckley, West Virginia, and grew up in a military family living around the world. He graduated from Gar-Field Senior High School in Prince William County, VA, where he met his beautiful bride, Sonjia. They have been happily married for 40 years and have two amazing adult sons, Brent, Jr and Matthew, who reside in the DMV.

He helps lead the NoVA Men’s Community and serves on Sundays as part of the Parking Team ministry. Brent retired from the federal government in December 2025 and, as a combat veteran, previously served 27 years in the United States Army, retiring in 2013.

Brent is passionate about investing in the men of NoVA Community Church and is grateful for the opportunity to serve the body of Christ. He enjoys traveling, working out, good food, sports, reading biographies, and spending time with their 5-year-old Shih Tzu, Duke Henry.
