Jared grew up in a family that introduced him to Jesus at a very young age, and he was active in both local and international church ministry throughout his childhood and formative years. During college, he met his wife, Jessica, while they were both singing in gospel choir.

A Northern Virginia resident for more than 35 years, Jared has spent two-plus decades serving the local church alongside Jessica. Before NoVA launched as an independent church in 2025, he served for more than 20 years in lay leadership at National Community Church—volunteering as a small group leader and coach, on production, and helping launch two campus locations.  

Professionally, Jared leads academic technology teams at a local university. He and Jessica live in Annandale, raising their three kids in the Annandale High School pyramid where NoVA gathers each Sunday. Outside of work and ministry, you will usually find him coaching youth sports, tackling landscaping and home projects, or out riding his bike.
