Jessica Johnson is originally from California but grew up in Cleveland, Ohio, where she quickly learned how to be a diehard, long-suffering sports fan. She met her husband, Jared, during their freshman year at Wheaton College outside Chicago, and they have been happily married since 2006. She is part of the launching team at NoVA Community Church and serves as a member of the elder board, a vocalist on the worship team, a kids ministry helper, and a communications team volunteer.

Jessica has always had an eye for detail, which translated into a professional editing career spanning more than two decades. She worked as a publications officer and production manager for the federal government for eight years and continues to work in the industry as a freelance editor.

NoVA's current location at Annandale High School (AHS) is especially significant for the Johnson family. They have lived in Annandale since 2014, and their three children (Anderson, Everett, and Adaline) attend public school in the AHS pyramid. When she's not cheering on her kids on the ball field or basketball court (or driving them back and forth to games and practices!), Jessica enjoys reading, cooking, spending time with family and friends, traveling (especially back to The Land and to the beach), being a plant mom, and taking walks with the family dog, a Hungarian Vizsla named Jet.
