Dr. Mary Zackius-Shittu, a Nigerian- American, rises each day in gratitude for the grace of God who has carried her through trials and triumphs. She knows that the Lord delights in using the imperfect to reveal His perfection, His mercy, and His unending love.

As a counselor, facilitator, and coach, she holds the sacred privilege of walking with people in their most honest spaces, reminding them that each person is seen, heard, and valued (and where the opportunity arises, that God loves them) just as they are. Called to be a bridge-builder, she seeks through service and worship to lift high His name and to inspire others to live with faith, courage, and hope.

Mary is a founding member of NoVA Community Church and serves on the elder team, as a community leader, and on the family ministries team alongside her college-aged son and daughter (twins).
