Rose Ole-Kuyan was born in New York, lived in three different countries, and now calls Alexandria, Virginia home. Most of her family resides either in Tanzania, Kenya, or Boston. Rose has several years of experience as a fundraiser for education and affordable housing nonprofits. She studied anthropology at Johns Hopkins University and continues to use those skills to build meaningful relationships with people across all walks of life.

Rose spends her free time cooking elaborate meals for friends, reading, crocheting, and cuddling with her dog Charlie. She is always looking for new restaurants to try out or different places to travel to.
